VIRTUAL MEDICAL ASSISTANT (VMA)

We are a US-based company looking for medically trained professionals based in Nepal to join our team as Virtual Medical Assistants (VMAs).

As a VMA, you will work directly with doctors and other healthcare professionals in the USA, helping to improve their workflow, save time, and alleviate the burden of in-room documentation. You’ll also assist with back-office and administrative tasks, making a significant impact in the field of medical documentation and virtual healthcare support.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA🤝

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Nepali Citizenship: Applicants must be Nepali citizens. Individuals with dual citizenship or permanent residency in other countries are not eligible.
• Residency: Must currently reside in Nepal.
• Education/Training 🎓: Provide proof of education or certification in a medical or allied health field (e.g., doctor, nursing, medical transcription, etc.).
• Identification: Submit a valid government-issued photo ID (e.g., Driver’s License, National ID, Citizenship Card, Passport).
• Police Clearance: Provide a police clearance certificate.
• Availability: Be able to work full-time night shifts and weekends (to align with USA working hours).
• Work Environment: Ensure a quiet workspace with a professional, neutral background and proper lighting (guidelines will be provided).
• Tax Registration: Register with the IRD as an independent contractor upon qualifying for training.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Virtual Medical Assistant, your role will include:

🖊️ Live virtual scribing

📞 Patient communication (phone/email/video).

📋 Responding to inquiries about healthcare services and tasks.

🔍 Gathering information (e.g., medical or insurance).

📅 Managing schedules and appointments.

🗂️ Updating patient records.

💡 Researching helpful information.

📑 Administrative tasks (file/fax management, transcription).

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

To excel in this role, you should have:

A degree or certification 🎓 in an allied health profession.

Strong English communication skills 🗣️ and familiarity with medical terminology.

A reliable internet connection 🌐 with a minimum speed of 10 Mbps.

A dependable computer 🖥️ that meets the system requirements below.

Necessary peripherals, including a webcam 📷 and headset 🎧.

A quiet workspace 🏡 with proper lighting and a neutral background.

Willingness to work night shifts 🌙 (7 PM–4 AM NST).

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS -Minimum

• Operating System: Windows 10 (64-bit) or macOS 10.14.
• Processor: Intel Core i3 (6th gen or higher) or AMD equivalent.
• Memory: At least 6GB RAM.
• Internet: 10 Mbps (DSL/Fiber only). LTE may be used as backup.

RECOMMENDED

• Operating System: Windows 10 (64-bit) or higher.
• Processor: Intel Core i5 (8th gen or higher) or AMD equivalent.
• Memory: 8GB RAM or more.
• Internet: 20 Mbps (DSL/Fiber only).
• Headset with Microphone: Plantronics Audio 628 Stereo USB Headset or similar.
• Webcam: HD 720p/1080p with a 16:9 aspect ratio (e.g., A4Tech PK-910H or equivalent).
